Why, O, Why am I addicted to the McRib, I don't even know what this thing is made of and yet every time it makes its once a year appearance I need it. I know it has zero, if not negative, nutritional value, but the taste of the bbq sauce, that mystery meat and those way to many onions just have a grip on my mind and have for some time now. What is also funny is I think McDonald's knows they are addictive to people and use it to there advantage as seen in there ad campaigns http://www.mcrib.com/ , they must put something in the sauce, I mean it is so needed by people that there are actually websites devoted to following it around the country. Damn you Mickey D's, Why can I not stop eating your crappy food that makes me feel like shit right after I am done eating it. I would like to pretend that I am going to stop eating McDonald's and in particular the McRib, but there is no point in lying to myself. So for the next month that this stupid sandwich is out I will be having my own internal battles...Hope I can win a few.
I just ordered these shoes. I got to custom design them myself. They should be coming in next Friday just in time for my trip to New York were I will be watching the Bears beat the Giants.
Well Ryno, my friend and old roommate, moved out, so I put an add on craiglist for a new roommate and after many applicants I am now living with Erin McIntee. She is originally from Michigan, outside of Detroit. After college she did some traveling, then lived in Baltimore and worked in DC for the last year or so and now like most Michiganders is living in the Chi. So, there is a new addition to the stoop.
Hope every one is ready for Halloween. I have my costum ready it should be hilarious, cant wait to bust it out. Stevie is throwin a bash at the old stoop, I'm excited.
There is a place called Celtic Crossings on Clark, just off of Chicago, that pours a mean pint of Guinness. They have the obvious "true" old Irish bar feel with the Bar tenders all from Ireland, and from what I can tell they are all named John, but why they are so great is their Guinness. They fly in Kegs weekly from Dublin and they know how to pour it right. Also they, like a true Irish bar, love to hang out and tell stories. Here there is no loud music or loud noises from a Golden Tee machine, there is just the sound of conversation and the occasional phone ringing. They do have though live Irish Music every once in awhile. So, if you are ever wanting to hang out and just talk with friends or hear stories and jokes from an old Irish man than this is the perfect place to get that and a great pint of Guinness
WOW! This place was amazing. Thanks to Ryan for bringing me to this place. Ok, we walk in and are immediately greeted by the owner who gives us all big hellos as we sit at are table and even before our waiter gets there the owner, John, gives us all glasses of Presecco, an amazing sparkling wine from Italy. The waiter than came over to take our order.
were prepared they are sent into the oven, which I think burns at 1600 degrees. Ryan set his timer, a guy with a paddle rotates all the pizzas as they are inside making sure they cook evenly, 60 seconds later they were out of the oven and on there way to our table. The pizzas were like nothing I have had before, the crust the flavors the presentation everything made me realize that I have been eating a lot of bad pizzas. This place needs to be visited by me more often and I am sure it will be.
The Bears once again looked dominant. They ruled the field this passed Sunday night by destroying last years NFC champions, the Seattle Seahawks, in a score of 37-6. As usual the Defense was truly great with multiple sacks and 2 interseptions (both by Ricky Manning Jr) and what is now becoming "the usual", the offense again looked perfect. Rex Grossman threw 2 more touchdown passes, one to Berrian and one to Muhammad. The running game which up until now has actually been somewhat contained was looking real sharp. Thomas Jones had 98 yards and also had 2 touchdowns. This game was an all around team dominated game because everyone contributed, the offense, the defense and special teams. The Bears are now the only undefeated team in the NFC and considered by most to be the best team in football. GO BEARS. Next week, the Bills.
Man, sorry I even let this get to Tuesday, Well once again the Chicago Bears lead buy Rex Grossman are showing greatness. With there spectacular win over the Detroit Lions. Scoring a Ridiculous 34 points to there 7, the Bears once again showed they have an can use many weapons. There was just like last week a dominating presence on defense and great catches and big plays buy the receiving core. The Bears are going 12-4, ha ambitious, but what the hell I love the Bears. They great part about how they look is that there running game hasn't needed to carry them like it did in the years past, but it is still a threat and can be used at a moments notice, even Cedric Benson is looking good. I know its only 2 games and that they played a couple of bad teams but you can not take away the fact that yes they are bad teams and that is why they are destroying them, these games aren't even close.
Hey these are some pictures I took of the Jr Gong show at Northerly Island, Julian, whose website this is asked me if he could put them up. Take a look at his site, http://www.melodymakers.de/damianmarley8272006.html
Well this Sunday I was able to see a historic event, live. Joe and I attended the Bear/ Packer game at the one and only Lambeau Field, thanks to a present from my Godfather. The trip up there takes a little, but is well worth it.
amazement walking into the enemies house to cheer on the bears. As soon as we walked in I knew it was going to be a good night. Sexy Rexy throws deep to Berrian for an over the shoulder grab up field...TOUCHDOWN. The first drive of the game and the Bears lead by 7. It was all over for there, the bears played perfect minus an interception. The special teams caused a turnover and ran a punt back for a touchdown. Robbie Gould went 4 for 4 on field goal kicks. The defense played its usual greatness and dominated the Packers putting tons of pressure on the Hall of Fame bound Bret Favre causing him to be sacked and rushed into throwing and interception.
The arrival
